Students complete the course at their own pace, participating in monthly one-day workshops to gather practical skills. The monthly workshops also feature guest speakers from the Natural Resource Management industry to share their knowledge and expertise. Students can also use the on-line discussion forums to interact with their colleagues.
The Diploma of Conservation and Land Management teaches skills in natural resource management, focusing on best practice in management planning, biological surveying, pest management, fauna management, plant management and revegetation. It is a managerial-level qualification that equips students with advanced skills in management, planning, theory and practice, and the chance to progress their careers in the conservation industry.

How long for:
Usually two years on a part-time basis. Students may also be eligible for RPL (Registered Prior Learning) depending on experience, meaning the Diploma can be finished sooner.
Two intakes every year.
What you gain:
Diploma of Conservation and Land Management. It can be combined with the Diploma of Sustainability, leading to a dual diploma that is designed to complement conservation studies with a series of units covering environmental sustainability issues.
Government agencies such as DSE, Parks Victoria, Department of Primary Industries, local government and municipal water authorities. Other career options include teaching, eco-tourism and work in the private sector as environmental consultants.
