So now that we're reaching the end of our challenge, I started to think about types of mugs again. Ceramic cups and travel mugs last for up to 10 years, or 3,000 uses.

So it's worth choosing one that suits your personality - you'll be looking at it for a long time!

I've found a few different types that should get you inspired.

  • Caffeine Molecule stainless steel mug. One for all the science geeks on the run.
  • Hot/Cold coffee mug. Don't waste your coffee because you forgot to drink it - this mug has heat-sensitive paint to let you know when it's getting cold! It starts out black, with Cold written on it in white. When you put a hot drink in, the mug turns white with Hot written on it in black.
  • If you can handle the reminder, try this global warming mug. This one uses the heat-sensitive paint to show rising sea levels on a world map. Motivating or depressing? I'll leave it up to you to decide!
  • Animal lovers might like these bunny, piggy or rooster cups from Oxfam. They're all made by fair-trade co-ops from around the world, so you'll be helping other people with this choice.
  • For a really long-lasting and durable cup, try one of these Sigg Thermo Ring mugs.

These are just to get you started - there's a whole lot of different types of coffee mugs out there to replace your takeaway cups. Choose one that's practical, but make sure it's fun for you too!
