These plump, burgundy-coloured kalamata olives, flavoured with dried herbs and slices of lemon and covered with extra virgin olive oil, $8.00 for 375 g, are some of the best table olives we've tasted this year.
Every ingredient comes from a little grove in Victoria's Wimmera region run by a Greek matriarch, Angela Nicolas, who runs the grove as her family did for generations in the Kalamata region of the Peloponnese in Greece.
Although the faily estate is not organically certified, Angela is passionate about never using artificial chemicals or chemical fertilisers on the grove.
