As Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) Marine Campaigner your job is to be the catalyst for change - driving the sustainable seafood revolution in Australia, working to achieve reform in fisheries management and supporting the establishment of a network of marine sanctuaries across Australia.
Location: AMCS is based in Brisbane, Qld, but there is flexibility in the location for this post.
Salary: $50,000 - 58,000 plus superannuation.

In 2006, the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS), the Environment Centre NT (ECNT) and The Wilderness Society (TWS) created a partnership to help protect our northern waters. This is known as the Top End Sea Life campaign. The purpose of this post is to lead that campaign.
As Northern Marine Campaigner your job is to be the catalyst for a network of marine sanctuaries being delivered across northern Australia. The successful applicant will work to secure the protection of some of the last relatively unspoilt tropical waters remaining in world. You will achieve this by activating the community, inspiring politicians and engaging with Traditional Owners to help conserve the precious Top End seas.
Location: ECNT, Darwin, NT.
Salary: $52 - 58,000 plus superannuation

Calling all divers, snorkellers of South-east Queensland on Saturday 23 October, between 7am and 5pm. Join the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) for a social snorkel or SCUBA dive with wobbegongs, sea turtles and corals. Plus learn more about the campaign to protect our Coral Sea. Reef Check Australia will also be joining in to share some useful skills on how we can monitor the health of our diverse and precious oceans. RSVP by 11 October.
Where: Departing Scarborough for Flinders Reef, Moreton Bay Marine Park, Qld.
Cost: $140 including 3 dives/snorkels, lunch, refreshments and some gear hire.
