Bear melts for World Environment Day
Tuesday, 31 May 2011A touchable, life-sized statue of a hunting polar bear will arrive at Customs House Square in Sydney later this week. Coinciding with World Environment Day, this is the sixth stop on the Ice Bear’s global tour, which highlights the urgent threat of climate change to Arctic life.
Flying Polar Bears in Tokyo
Tuesday, 5 October 2010Ecoideasnet filmed these inspirational 'flogos' (floating logos made from plant-derived soap and environmentally benign helium gas) in Sekiya, Tokyo, to raise awareness of the plight of polar bears in the Arctic. There are more inspiring eco-videos and images on their website, which aims to promote the power of ideas to accelerate the shift to greener lifestyles.
