Tuesday 17 May, 2011
This event is a day of information and education for people living in social housing, a cohort who are often excluded from the traditional environment movement. Green Renters show that sustainable living is possible regardless of where you live and offer a day of practical hands-on information to educate participants in helping the planet and themselves. This includes workshops on saving money and reducing your bills in winter, healthy eating on a budget, and gardening in small spaces. Stalls from local Community groups and City of Yarra Council, a free lunch and keynote presentations by The Archi Centre and Sustainability Victoria. This event is made possible through the generous support of the City of Yarra Community Grants Program.
Where: Richmond Town Hall, Bridge Road Richmond, Vic.
When: 11am-3pm, Tuesday 17 May.
