Based in Alice Springs, Alice Solar City is a community wide project which seeks to change the way consumers think about and use energy. An experienced project manager with a demonstrated track record of managing complex projects is sought to guide Alice Solar City through its important second phase of the project, which has a focus on monitoring, evaluation and reporting. Indigenous persons are encouraged to apply.
Location: Alice Springs, NT.
Salary: Package $120,000 - $130,000 p/a.

More than 1 million Australians now live in homes powered by solar panels and the nation is on track to meet its target of a fifth of its energy from renewables by 2020. That’s a 35 fold increase in solar power.
Still, there is some way to go. Renewable energy generates only about 10 per cent of Australia's power but 80 per cent still comes from the burning of black and brown coal. And emissions are rising, suggesting we have to do a lot more work.
