The Rocks Windmill

Friday April 12 - Sunday May 12, 2013
A four story windmill will be erected in the iconic backdrop of The Rocks for a month long series of events that will celebrate history through art, science, culture, sustainability and more! ‘The Rocks Windmill’ will act as a functioning wheat-grind, and will be the epicenter of the events as an intimate 40-seated venue. The program also includes an array of holiday and weekend workshops, ranging from wheat-growing to discovering Shakespeare. The host of ABC's Gardening Australia, Costa Georgidais, will be making an appearance alongside the various displays, as will artist and forager Diego Bonetto.

ICE WaRM Short Courses

September-December 2012

Training your team in water resources management is easy with ICE WaRM's short courses running over September, October, November and into December this year.

The courses run over 1-3 days and cover a variety of topics to suit a variety of professions across both private and public sectors such as agriculture, mining, education, research or environment. Courses include Hydraulics and Hydrology for Non-Engineers, Coal Seam Gas and Water, Groundwater Essentials, Climate Change Adaptation, Water in Coal Mines and a Water Essentials Course.

Global Coordinator - CERES Environment Park

CERES is an environmental community organisation that has become an icon of locally-based education and action on environmental and social justice issues. As the Global Coordinator you would organise activities and promote and organise trips. CERES Global Trips aim to engage Australian people with the issues of developing countries whilst enjoying the richness of their cultures and the wisdoms they can add to our understanding of sustainable wellbeing. Over the past 6 years CERES Global has organised five trips to India, one to Indonesia, and three trips to Mäpuru (an Indigenous homelands community in North - East Arnhem Land). During 2012 CERES Global plans to take travellers to India, Indonesia, and Mäpuru.
