Garden Week, Western Australia's longest running landscape and outdoor living expo, is back this year to showcase the latest in gardening, landscaping and outdoor innovations. Boasting over 120 exhibits, there will be thousands of plants to buy, as well as the opportunity to check out everything else from rainwater tanks to worm farms. This year the focus will be on waterwise gardening, so there will be plenty of opportunities to pick some worthwhile hints and tips on the way.
There are plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained for the whole time, with an interactive wildlife farm, pot planting, craft and much more.

The 'Greenest School on Earth' visits Australia and opens scholarship competition

March 5 to April 22, 2013
Green School, which was recently crowned "Greenest School on Earth" by the Center for Green Schools, is giving students the opportunity to win a one-year scholarship in Bali, Indonesia. The online competition is open to students aged 3-18. All you have to do is submit a 2-3 minute video of any green projects you are involved in, and why you think you're the "greenest student on earth". This competition is a great opportunity to experience new things while showing the world that students can make a positive difference in the community. Representatives from the school will also be visiting Perth and Melbourne. During the community information sessions they will discuss their revolutionary curriculum to educate and inspire children to engage with nature.

Rainbow Warrior 'Save the Reef' Australian Tour

New Rainbow Warrior

Saturday 16 March - Friday 19 April, 2013
Get an inside look into the crew, features and workings of Greenpeace's new vessel, the New Rainbow Warrior, as it tours Australia to save the Great Barrier Reef.
Built entirely from scratch, and funded solely by donations from Greenpeace supporters, the New Rainbow Warrior is fitted with 50 metre high sails, a crane, and a helicopter landing pad. It also comes equipped with hi-tech broadcasting technology to relay the voyage to the rest of the world.
During it's six weeks in Australia, the New Rainbow Warrior will be stopping in at Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Airlie and Mackay, where free tours of the ship will be available.
