Vac from the Sea

World champion surfer Layne Beachley teamed up with Electrolux and its global Vac from the Sea initiative to help clean up Australia's iconic beach, Manly, and urge Australians to get serious about plastic recycling and help stop the plastic pollution problem at sea.

Environmental group Surfrider, local Northern Beaches students and Manly Mayor, Jean Hay also joined Layne to help gather plastic debris. An Australian Vac from the Sea showcase model will be manufactured from plastic rubbish found in and around Australia's beaches and coastline, including debris collected from Manly.
